MILAN, Sept. 23 (Xinhua) -- AC Milan confirmed on Monday that they will appeal against Mario Balotelli's three-match ban.
Balotelli received a red card for confronting the officials after the Milan's 2-1 loss to Napoli at home on Sunday. The disciplinary committee decided on Monday to hand him a three-game suspension. The injury-depleted Rossoneri though, are going to appeal that decision.
A statement on their official website read: "Milan announces that we will complain against the suspensions of Mario Balotelli and the Curva Sud."
The San Siro's Curva Sud has been ordered to be closed for one match following incidents of racist abuse towards opposition fans during the Sunday game.
