RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- Juninho has insisted age is no obstacle as he aims to revive Vasco da Gama's hopes of a top-four finish in the Campeonato Brasileiro.
The 38-year-old rejoined Vasco in July, just weeks after ending a disappointing six-month spell with the New York Red Bulls.
"I'm feeling better and better in a physical sense," said Juninho, who scored in each of his first two return matches for the Rio club last month.
"We have been inconsistent this season but I want to help the team get back on track by helping as much as I can with my experience."
Vasco are currently 11th in the Campeonato Brasileiro standings with 19 points from 15 matches.
The top four teams qualify for next season's Copa Libertadores, South America's elite club competition.
