BUENOS AIRES, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- Tigre defeated Racing Club 3-1 in the third matchday of Argentina's Final Tournament on Sunday.
Sergio Araujo scored two goals at the 17th and 53rd minute and Jose Sand netted one at the 59th, giving the victory to Tigre at Monumental de Victoria Stadium in northern Great Buenos Aires.
With this result, Tigre has four points, three more than Racing.
Racing's goal was scored by Rodrigo de Paul at the 70th minute, five minutes before referee Saul Laverni expelled defender Leonardo Miglionico.
Meanwhile, the current champion Newell's (4 points) drew 0-0 with Belgrano de Cordoba (1) in a match played in Rosario.
