ANKARA, April 11 (Xinhua) -- Egyptian Minister of Sport El Amry Farouk said Thursday they would give full support to Turkey's 2020 Olympics bid.
Farouk told his Turkish counterpart Suat Kilic that Egypt would provide full support to Turkey's candidacy to host the 2020 Summer Olympics. Egypt will also join the Mediterranean Games in Turkey this summer.
Kilic, Turkish Minister of Youth and Sports, said the two countries both with young people making up most of their population would develop their relations further in sports.
Farouk heading a delegation was paying a visit in Ankara.
Turkey's Istanbul is currently competing with Tokyo and Madrid to host the 2020 Olympics. The final vote for the 2020 Games will be made on Sept. 7.
