THE HAGUE, March 17 (Xinhua) -- The top four teams in the Dutch Eredivisie remained separated by just three points, with league leaders Ajax claiming a 3-2 win at AZ Alkmaar on Sunday.

Ajax took the lead in the 20th minute after Siem de Jong finished a perfectly weighted pass by Toby Alderweireld. Two minutes later left-back Daley Blind doubled the margin.

AZ narrowed the deficit just two minutes into the second half when Markus Henriksen headed in from close range. Ajax's two-goal cushion was restored before the hour mark when De Jong's free-kick took a deflection off the AZ wall and flew past goalkeeper Esteban. Jozy Altidore put one back again with 15 minutes remaining, but Ajax secured the 3-2 victory.

Also on Sunday Feyenoord made no mistake against FC Utrecht 2-1. Graziano Pelle put Feyenoord in front, but after a mistake by captain Stefan de Vrij FC Utrecht equalized through Cedric van der Gun. Defender Daryl Janmaat earned Feyenoord the win.

On Saturday PSV beat RKC Waalwijk 2-0, thanks to goals by Dries Mertens (penalty) and Giorginio Wijnaldum. Vitesse booked a comfortable 4-0 win at ADO Den Haag.

PSV and Feyenoord remain one point behind league leaders Ajax, while Vitesse trail by three points with seven rounds remaining.
