HANOI, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- The annual International Windsurf Race will take place on the Phan Thiet City beach on Saturday in Vietnam's central Binh Thuan province, some 1,150 km south of capital Hanoi.
More than 50 local and international participants have registered to take part in the annual event with two competing categories. Professionals will race for 3,200m following a W-shaped track while amateurs will cover the same distance but following a figure of eight track.
Phan Thiet is said to be the most beautiful place for windsurfing in Vietnam. The city has hosted a number of tournaments including the annual Fun Cup International Windsurf Race and the Professional Windsurfers Association's World Cup event.
