RIO DE JANEIRO, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- Brazil international midfielder Paulo Henrique Ganso scored his first goal since his September move to Sao Paulo on Saturday to help his team to a 2-1 victory over Atletico Sorocaba in the Campeonato Paulista.
Ganso's 30th-minute header was followed by a 76th-minute strike from Argentine Marcelo Canete before Fabio Sanches scored a late goal for the visitors at Morumbi Stadium.
In Rio de Janeiro's Campeonato Carioca, Bernardo scored twice as Vasco de Gama moved to the top of the standings with a 4-2 victory at Resende.
Meanwhile Botafogo has confirmed former AC Milan and Real Madrid midfielder Clarence Seedorf will make his first appearance of the year on Sunday against Fluminense at Rio's Engenhao Stadium.
Fluminense will be without Brazil striker Fred and former Portugal star Deco, who have been afford an extended summer break by coach Abel Braga.
