Peru wins six gold medals in Bolivarian Beach Games

LIMA, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- Peru Tuesday won six gold medals in surfing at the Bolivarian Beach Games Lima 2012.

In the modality Open-men, Gabriel Villaran clinched the victory with 15.6 points, ahead of Chilean Guillermo Satt (11.27) and his compatriot Cristobal de Col (11.24), in Punta Rocas resort, at 40 kilometers south of Lima.

In women's event, Anali Gomez won with a score of 15.38 points, followed by Ecuadorean Dominic Barona (10.40), and former world champion Peruvian Sofia Mulanovich (10).

In Longboard, Pure had a one-two finish as Clemente Piccolo won on 17.17 points and Tamil Martino followed on 16.50. Ecuadorean Oswaldo Borbor was thid in 8.5.

In Bodyboard, Cesar Baur won gold medal with a score of 15.60 points, leaving behind Chilean Bryan Medina (12.23), and Venezuelan Jose Cristiano (9.33).

In women's and men's stand-up paddle, Peruvians Brissa Malaga (10.33) and Jose Gomez (16.66) won two more gold medals.

Malaga defeated Ecuadorean Michele Soriano (2.67), and Chilean Trinidad Segura (0.64) for the women's silver and bronze.

Gomez defeated Chilean Rafael Tapia (7.47), and Venezuelan Jose Magra (6.17).

The Bolivarian Beach Games Lima 2012 began on November 1, and will end on Sunday.
