VLADIVOSTOK, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- Russian Taekwondo Poomsae Championship started in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky on Saturday, the first time Kamchatka hosts this competition, PrimaMedia news agency said.
More than 50 athletes from different regions from Krasnodar to Sakhalin took part in the championship, which will run till Sunday. Kamchatka will be represented by young winners of national and international tournaments.
The championship is under the auspices of Russia's Taekwondo Union and Kamchatka Taekwondo Union, and is within the framework of the official calendar of the Russian Ministry of Sport.
