RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- A spectacular Ronaldinho strike helped nine-man Atletico Mineiro hold local rival Cruzeiro to a 2-2 draw in Brazil's Serie A championship on Sunday.
In a goal reminiscent of his glorious days at Barcelona, the two-time FIFA world player of the year dribbled past three defenders before drilling a low shot that left goalkeeper Fabio with no chance.
Earlier, Atletico's Pierre and Bernard were sent off while Leandro Guerreiro was also expelled for his second bookable offence at Cruzeiro's Estadio Independencia.
"The goal is something that I've always like to do: winning possession on the left and using my pace and dribbling to get past the defense," Ronaldinho said.
"We prepared all week for this game and now we've been left with a bitter taste in our mouths because of their late goal."
The result extends Atletico's unbeaten league run to 13 matches and maintains the club's one-point lead over Fluminense at the top of the standings.
