LONDON, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced Monday to withdraw the gold medal of the women's shot put from Belarus' Nadzeya Ostapchuk due to dopings.
IOC said in a statement that Ostapchuk's urine samples indicated the presence of metenolone.
Valerie Adams of New Zealand, who finished second to Ostapchuk, was awarded the gold medal.
The silver went to Evgeniia Kolodko of Russia and Chinese Gong Lijiao took the bronze.
