THE HAGUE, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- All the equipment of the repatriation and recovery mission in eastern Ukraine had been transferred back to the Netherlands, the Dutch Ministry of Defense reported on Monday.
Since the breakdown of the mission on August 6 a Dutch Hercules aircraft and an Australian Boeing C-17 have flown from Ukraine to Eindhoven Airport and back around 50 times.
Almost all members of the international mission, led by the Netherlands, have already left Ukraine, with only a small team remaining in the area.
This last team can receive and collect the remaining stuff and human remains yet to be found by locals in the disaster area.
The recovery mission on the MH17 crash site in eastern Ukraine has stopped until further notice due to the deteriorating security conditions in the area.
