BEIJING, Jan. 8 (Xinhuanet) – The Lingwu Park of the Ningxia Ecological Textile Industry Demonstration Base started construction in Lingwu City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, on December 28. The base is set to become China's largest cashmere sweater production base upon completion.
Taking advantage of high-yielding cashmere in Lingwu, the park will manufacture high-end cashmere, wool, linen and acrylic-wool blended sweaters or household textile products.
In addition, "Todd & Duncan," a luxury cashmere brand developed by the park, will set up 100 specialty stores globally with an overall investment of 3 billion yuan (US$ 481.5 million). The annual sales income is expected to reach some 2 billion yuan.
