Animated knight demonstrates Air Malta's new safety video

English.news.cn   2014-10-24 09:16:03

VALLETTA, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- Air Malta has recently chosen an animated knight to demonstrate safety features onboard the airline's Airbus A320 and A319 aircraft fleets.

The cartoon knight, clad in silver armour, goes through all the procedures that ensure safety aboard. The video is aimed at informing all passengers onboard Air Malta flights about the safety features of the aircraft.

"Safety is our top priority. This year we decided to refresh our safety video to make it more captivating to our audience, by striking a friendlier tone. Using a charismatic Knight of St John allowed us to continue following Air Malta's focus of becoming a destination airline, Ambassador and guide to what the Maltese islands can offer whilst highlighting another proud element of Malta's heritage," said Chief Officer CargoSystems and Cabin Crew, Manuel Agius.

The video also features Air Malta's recently approved regulation to allow mobile phones and tablets to be left on flight mode throughout the entire duration of the flight.

Airlines such as Virgin Atlantic, Delta, Air New Zealand, and Virgin America have all made their in-flight safety films in entertaining, buzzy ways in an effort to get seasoned travelers to actually watch safety videos.
