VLADIVOSTOK, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- The seventh Russian Far East Dalinfocom IT Forum kicked off here Tuesday, with more than 500 participants discussing key issues on the industry's future in the region.
The two-day forum took place on the campus of Far Eastern Federal University on Russkiy Island, where participants are expected to attend panel sessions and deliver reports.
Its major events also include an IT expo, a cybersport tournament, a developers contest and a startups school.
At the IT expo, the exhibition booths of Microsoft, national mobile and Internet provider Rostelecom and other IT companies draw much attention of the participants and university students.
Vladivostok hosted the first IT expo, "The Pacific Rim IT & Communications," in 2006. Later the event became the annual Dalinfocom Forum.
