BRAZZAVILLE, Jan. 30 (Xinhua) -- Airtel Congo in partnership with Chinese telecommunication firm Huawei on Wednesday launched Smartphone Huawei 4 Africa, a new generation technology for easier access to e-mails.
Speaking during the event held in Brazzaville, the capital of the Republic of Congo, Huawei representative Zeng Zhiwei said the Smartphone was a timely technology, which was already operational in other countries where Airtel has operations.
He said the phone will improve the performance of professionals through infrastructure and services already put in place by Airtel Congo such as 3.75G.
The price of the Smartphone has been fixed at 119,000 CFA Francs (close to 250 U.S. dollars). It will be purchased together with a SIM card and a 5 GB memory card costing 30,000 CFA Francs.
