PARIS, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- The International Space Science Institute (ISSI) elected Spanish Prof. Rafael Rodrigo as its new executive director, the European Space Agency said on Tuesday.
Rodrigo previously served on a number of high-level international committees particularly for the European Space Agency ESA. He has worked with a number of research Institutions in the United States, Britain, Russia, China, Germany, France, Holland and Switzerland.
Over the last four years, he served as president of the Spanish National Research Council.
ISSI is an advanced study institute that invites space scientists from all over the world with the intention to gain deeper insights from data collected by space probes.
