Xiao Yiwu (R) briefs a child at the monument of the Red Army crossing the Chishui River in Yuanhou Town of Chishui City, southwest China's Guizhou Province, about the stories of the Red Army troops forced crossing the Chishui River for four times during the Long March in 1930s, on Aug. 13, 2016. Xiao, a 65-year-old Communist Party of China (CPC) member, is the nephew of a couple who witnessed the Red Army troops crossing the Chishui River and risked their lives to save an injured Red Army man at that time. In order to let more people know the history, Yuan has performed as a voluntary commentator and works at the site for over 30 years. The CPC has more than 88 million members across the country. The Party members play an important role in the various walks of life. (Xinhua/Ou Dongqu)
