11 trafficked fishermen rescued in Yay township, Myanmar

YANGON, July 24, 2016 (Xinhua) -- Photo taken on July 23, 2016 shows fishing boats at the banks of the Pazundaung Creek in Yangon, Myanmar. A total of 11 trafficked fishermen have been rescued in Yay township, Myanmar's southern Tanintharyi region, recently after a trade organization informed the case of the police authorities, official media reported on Friday. Six suspects for trafficking the fishermen were also arrested. The trafficked fishermen voiced concern that about 90 percent of the total number of held fishermen remain to be rescued on Myanmar Sea.
