KUNDUZ, Afghanistan, June 8 (Xinhua) -- Armed militants intercepted a bus along a main roadway in Afghanistan's northern province of Kunduz on Wednesday, kidnapping several passengers, sources said.

"Armed men stopped a long-distance bus in Ludin area, Khan Abad District along Kunduz-Takhar highway early morning, the gunmen took at least 47 passengers to nearby villages while three commuters safely fled the scene," a security official told Xinhua. Full story
