MANILA, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- Two people died and five other got injured as typhoon Koppu, locally named Lando, continued to batter the northern Philippines, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported on Monday.
As of 12 a.m. local time, the NDRRMC said, a total of 20,492 persons were affected in the regions of Ilocos, Cagayan, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Bicol and Cordillera Administrative Region, with 18 road sections and 13 bridges becoming not impassable. Full story
