Its leader is Blanca Martinez, a former oncological patient of breast cancer. LBSM program, one of various activities of "Pink Ribbon", is supported by the Argentinean Chamber of Cosmetic Industry and Perfumery (or CAPA for Spanish acronym). It aims to strengthen the self-esteem and self-confidence of women with breast cancer by helping them improve their appearance. According to National Cancer Institute of Argentina, breast cancer is the prime cause of women's death in the country, compared with other tumors, as 19.9 women out of per 100,000 died of the disease.
