LONDON, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- Queen Elizabeth II Wednesday afternoon became the longest reigning monarch in British history, though it seemed a normal day for the Queen.
The 89-year-old monarch, who became the queen of Britain at age of 25, overtook her great-great-grandmother, Queen Victoria's reign of 23,226 days, 16 hours and 23 minutes at round 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, as Britain's longest reigning monarch. Full story
