The photo shows a drowned mouse floating on the submerged farmland in Yazhou District of Sanya, south China's Hainan Province. A violent rainstorm hit Sanya and caused great damage to local farmlands and bridges. The amount of precipitation in Yazhou District exceeded 450 milimeter from 5pm on July 17 to 7pm on July 20. At press time, parts of the local farmlands were still water-logged, a house damaged and one person slightly injured while the total economic loss had not been released yet. (Xinhua/Yang Guanyu)
