
A bag with biscuits prepared mainly with insects is displayed by students of Food Engineering of the University of Costa Rica in San Jose, capital of Costa Rica, on June 16, 2015. According to local press, in order to alleviate malnutrition among children in the north of Costa Rica and Haiti, the students developed some biscuits made with flour of cricket and mashed sweet potatoes so called "Cricketa" and with a mixture dried of banana flour and larvae of the beetle Tenebrio molitor so called "Molibannann". Both products will be finalists in the international competition "Developing solutions for developing countries" in the United States of America from July 11 to 14 in Chicago, Illinois.
