Veterinarians try to pull out a ball from a beluga through a gastroscope during a surgical operation at Harbin Sun Asia Polar Park in Harbin, capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, April 25, 2015. A 7-hour surgical operation here was conducted for a beluga but finally failed on Saturday. The beluga was found in its stomach a ball with a diameter of 7-10 centimeters, which is suspected to be mistakenly swallowed by the beluga in the wild. The surgery, however, failed to have the ball pulled out even though veterinarians made several efforts in adjusting and remolding surgical instruments. A further surgical operation will be made when the beluga gets into good shape. (Xinhua/Wang Jianwei)
