Two explosions rocked Siam Paragon shopping centre near the Siam Square station of the Bangkok Mass Transmit System (BTS), sending night shoppers to run in panic and forcing the BTS to suspend service at the station. Initially the two explosions were thought to be from electric transformers, but after Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) police inspected the scene, they found explosive fragments of home-made bombs and believed the two bombs were planted near the transformers.
