Sri Lanka International Eye Bank began its cooperation with Xi'an Eye Bank from April 2014 and has provided 117 corneas to Xi'an up to now. Maintained by Sri Lanka Eye Donation Society, the non-profit organization was founded by Dr. Hudson Silva in 1961 and has donated 34600 corneas to Sri Lankan recipients and 53830 corneas to recipients from 57 countries and regions since then.
