BEIJING, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- Serbian first-seeded Novak Djokovic rallied to beat Andy Murray 6-3, 6-4 on Saturday to reach the final of China Open 2014.
Djokovic who just needed 96 minutes to get past Murray extended his winning streak record in China Open to 23-0. The Serb is unbeaten at this ATP 500 event, winning the title in his four previous visits in 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013.
After a semifinal surprise on Friday night, second-seeded Rafael Nadal would not vie for the championship. "It happens in the sport. Obviously the two seeds are the biggest favorites to meet in the finals, like it was the case last year. But, again, you can't underestimate your opponent," Djokovic said.
In the second set, Djokovic began to fiddle with his racquet to relieve pressure. "That's something that I learned over the years, with experience in these big matches, and it definitely helps," He said.
