NEW DELHI, May 20 (Xinhua) -- India's prime minister designate Narendra Modi Tuesday met President Pranab Mukherjee at the latter 's official residence in the national capital, and claimed his right to form the next government.
The 63-year-old hardline Hindu politician met the president barely a couple of hours after he was formally named as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s parliamentary party leader, thus officially becoming the prime minister designate.Full Story
