LOS ANGELES, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- Walt Disney Studios has halted the production of Johnny Depp's next vehicle, "The Lone Ranger," due to budgetary concerns, media outlets reported Friday.

The filmmakers' failure to reduce the budget from 250 million U.S. dollars to the studio's demand of 200 million might account for the scrapping, Hollywood trade website Deadline.com revealed in an exclusive. Full Story
