Park, Biden agree to join hands to denuclearize DPRK
SEOUL, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- South Korean President Park Geun-hye and visiting U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden agreed on Friday to make joint efforts to denuclearize the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
Seoul's Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se told reporters at a press briefing that Park and Biden agreed to make further efforts to achieve a "substantive progress" in denuclearizing the DPRK. Full story
S.Korea to conduct naval drill with U.S., Britain
SEOUL, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- South Korea, the United States and Britain will carry out joint naval drill in southern waters off the Korean Peninsula, the United States Forces Korea (USFK) said Thursday.
The two-day exercise, slated for Dec. 8-9, will mobilize South Korea's guided missile Aegis destroyer, the U.S. guided missile Aegis cruiser USS Shiloh and the Royal Navy's Daring-class stealth destroyer, the USFK said in a statement. Full story
