One dead, 8 injured in explosions in Taiyuan
TAIYUAN, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- One person was killed and eight others were injured after explosions occurred on Wednesday morning in front of the office building of the Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, local police said.
The blasts took place at around 7:40 a.m. on the Yingze Street in the provincial capital of Taiyuan, according to the city's public security bureau.

N China explosions caused by self-made bombs
TAIYUAN, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- Explosions that left one person dead and eight injured on Wednesday morning in north China's Shanxi Province were caused by self-made bombs, local police said.
The blasts struck at around 7:40 a.m. in front of the office building of the Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, on Yingze Street in the provincial capital of Taiyuan, according to the city's public security bureau. Full story
