ATHENS, June 8 (Xinhua) -- Thousands of Athenians and foreign visitors lined a central avenue near Syntagma square on Saturday for the city's annual Gay Pride festival, celebrating diversity and chanting slogans against stigmatization based on sexual orientation.

Jubilant members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community (LGBT), their family members, friends, colleagues and neighbors joined the vibrant, colorful parade and day-long cultural events held under the main slogan "Athena is Ours, Athens belongs to all of us". Full story
