BEIJING, Feb. 16 (Xinhuanet) -- Silvia Cordedda is a young digital artist born in 1991 in Carrara, Italy. During her spare time, she’s she quite busy with fractal artworks.
For the ones not familiar with fractals, a fractal is an image built with math, a repetition of the same geometric module over and over, with different dimensions, according to a mathematical function.
It's not drawn or painted by hand, rather, fractal-generating software is used that relies on mathematical calculations to visually display objects.
Her 3D abstract art is often centered on flowers but ones that could never exist in this world. The translucent nature of the pedals coupled with the brilliant variety of colors makes each flower look it could only exist in our dreams or perhaps a wonderfully magical world. Enjoy the collection!
