A total of 24 highway toll gates in Ningxia started the trial operation of ETC lanes on Tuesday. ETC, or Electronic Toll Collection, is a non-stopping toll system which can deduct the required fees automatically from pre-associated drivers' IC cards or accounts by recognizing the vehicles when they pass through the toll gate.
