
KATHMANDU, Sept. 23 (Xinhua) -- At least nine climbers have been killed in Nepal after they were buried by an avalanche on the Manaslu Mountain, local police said on Sunday.
The group of 25 climbers, mainly Frenchmen and Germans, were near the top of the 8,156-meter Manaslu summit when they were hit by a wall of snow on Saturday night, according to local police.
Thirteen climbers have been rescued, while 9 confirmed dead and four are still missing. (Photo Source: chinanews.com)
