Lions killed by villagers are laid down on a truck at Kenya Wildlife Services (KWS) office in Nairobi, Kenya, June 20, 2012. KWS has confirmed the six lions speared to death on Tuesday night by residents of the Oloika area in Kitengela, about 30 km south of Nairobi. The retaliatory villagers killed two adult lionesses and four cubs after the carnivores had killed four goats. Kenya has been losing 100 wild lions per year for the past 7 years, leaving the country with about 2000 of its famous big cats. (Xinhua/Ding Haitao)
