Going beyond the free trade agreements and establishing a new East Asian economic order
The large area FTA is officially the framework of the “Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership”, RCEP in short. Through this agreement, ASEAN hopes that the commodity trade, the service trade and the investment arrangements under the FTA framework could be expanded to the six East Asia Summit dialogue partners, which include China, Japan, South Korea, India, Australia and New Zealand.
