RAMALLAH, Jan. 6 (Xinhua) -- Two Palestinians from the West Bank died Sunday of H1N1 virus, or so-called swine flu virus, a Palestinian medical official said.
Spokesperson for the Palestinian Ministry of Health Assad al- Ramlawy told Xinhua that a woman and a child from Nablus died due to infection of the virus.
He added that so far 14 Palestinians have died of the disease since the beginning of this winter.
Ramlawy pointed out that 365 people have been diagnosed with swine flu, adding that all the dead suffered from chronic diseases or autoimmune disorders.
"This disease has become seasonal and we have the needed medications and the expertise to fight it," he said.
