SARAJEVO, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- High Representative of International Community for Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Valentin Inzko on Friday urged political parties in BiH to form governments as soon as possible.
"Now is the time to put government back in the service of citizens. There should be no doubt that both the international community and the citizens of BiH have expectations. We expect incoming governments to deliver substantial and speedy results," said Inzko.
He noted parliaments and governments must be formed quickly and fully in the line with the law.
Inzko said he was not pleased with the performance of previous governments, citing high unemployment figures.
Something must be changed in the process of forming governments, especially in terms of quality of the candidates, he said.
"Whoever enters government, fixing the economy and creating new jobs must be the priority, together with tackling corruption and unlocking progress towards Euro-Atlantic integration. This is what the incoming coalitions must commit to delivering from day one," he said.
