PARIS, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- Trade deficit of France reached 4.6 billion euros (5,68 billion U.S. dollars) by the end of October, down from 4.72 billion euros in September, according to data released by the country's customs services on Tuesday.

Foreign sales in October registered a month-on-month increase of 0.5 percent to hit 36.9 billion euros, thanks to the export of aeronautical products.

Airbus sold 29 aircraft in October, with a total worth of 2.49 billion euros. In September, the company sold 28 units with a total worth of 1.95 billion euros.

The country's imports fell to 41.5 billion euros, due to less imports of refined petroleum products, according to the customs data.
