LISBON, Oct.29 (Xinhua) -- Portugal ranks fifth out of 29 countries in terms of the difference between the amount of housework done by women and men, according to a new report by the World Economic Forum.
Portuguese women spend 328 minutes doing housework (almost 5 hours and a half) while men spend only 96 minutes doing housework -- a difference of 232 minutes.
The study included people between the ages of 15 and 64 doing unpaid house work, like food shopping and washing dishes.
The study also points out that Portugal rose 12 places in the ranking which measures equality between men and women in 142 countries across the world.
