BEIJING, January 16 (Xinhuanet) -- The 2017 First China International Forum on Film Engineering Technology Industry opened Sunday in Beijing.
The forum brought together film-making experts and scholars from China and the United States to discuss the cutting-edge film technologies.
Ronald Burdett, the winner of HPA (The Hollywood Post Alliance) Lifetime Achievement Award, said, “The globalization of film-making is making the 'film world' smaller and smaller.”
He also shared eight emerging technologies being used in Hollywood, exampled by data collection, higher resolution, HDR (High Dynamic Range), HFR (High Frame Rates), ACES (the Academy Color Encoding System), cloud, etc.
In recent years, the booming Chinese film industry has drawn wide attention of international film community. This forum aims to promote China’s film industry through exchange of ideas with foreign countries.
