Carrie Underwood plans U.S., Canada tour for new album Storyteller

English.news.cn   2015-10-28 14:35:17

BEIJING, Oct. 28 (Xinhuanet) -- U.S. singer Carrie Underwood announced her 2016 tour for her fifth studio album, Storyteller.

Although the 32-year-old singer’s social media account is filling up with adorable pictures of her 8-month-old son, Isaiah, she is not going to change her artistry.

Underwood said she thought “people kind of expected me to make a mommy album”, but she will not lose her edge or suddenly start singing “life is beautiful” and “babies are awesome”.

Carrie Underwood rose to fame as an American Idol winner in 2005. She has sold millions of records and won dozens of awards from the Academy of Country Music as well as the Grammys.

The Stories on the Road tour will kick off in January 2016 and will continue in 40 arenas across the United States and Canada through May.

"I can't wait to play new music from Storyteller for the fans," Underwood said in a statement. "I am so blessed to have this career and get to do to the things I do, but there is nothing like that moment when I get to step onto the stage to sing and all the fans are singing along with me."
