BEIJING, July 31 (Xinhuanet) -- The former host of BBC's popular TV program "Top Gear" who left amid scandal over an off-set dustup, has signed up to present a new car show for broadcaster Amazon Prime.
Jeremy Clarkson was fired in March after he punched a producer during an off-set altercation. The show's two other hosts also left.
According to Amazon, Jeremy Clarkson has committed to three series of the show with James May and Richard Hammond, with the first series to be broadcast in 2016.
"Top Gear" has won a global popularity with its mix of car tips, driving stunts and jokey banter.
