BEIJING, Dec. 26 (Xinhuanet) -- “My beloved beliebers I’m officially retiring.” is what Justin Bieber announced via his twitter on Christmas Eve before his documentary “Justin Bieber’s Believe” opens in theaters across the United States.
People wonder: is he serious or just another ploy for promoting his new film?
This announcement seems a repetition of his words last week on Los Angeles radio station Poer 106, when he hinted that it as a right moment to end his life under spotlight.
“The media talks a lot about me. They make up a lot of lies and want me to fail but I’m never leaving, being a belieber is a lifestyle. Be kind loving to each other, forgive each other as god forgave us through Christ Merry Christmas IN HERE FOREVER.”
But he soon backtracked and explained, "I want to grow as an artist, and I'm taking a step out, I want my music to mature."
It is hardly surprising that people on the internet got a panic. Millions of tweets poured in after his utterance, many regarding him as a clown who tries to “upstage Jesus on his birthday.”
“Sadly, Bieber retiring is just a pathetic publicity stunt for his new documentary movie, which comes out tomorrow,” some said.
