VLADIVOSTOK, March 1(Xinhua) -- The international vocal arts competition for children and youth "Voice of Friendship" opened in Russia' s Vladivostok city on Friday.
Children from Russia, China and Vietnam participated in the three-day competition for soloists, vocal groups, vocal and choral groups.
The competition is held in three categories: academic, folk and modern singing. There are three age categories of participants: 9-11 years, 12-14 years and 15-17 years.
It aims to popularize the vocal arts among children and young people.
