LOS ANGELES, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- Eight documentary shorts, including the British piece "The Perfect Fit," made the shortlist for the 85th Academy Awards, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) announced on Thursday.
The British short about a ballet shoemaker was joined by "The Education of Mohammad Hussein," "Inocente," "Kings Point," " Mondays at Racine," "Open Heart," "Paraiso" and "Redemption" to vie for the final nominations, which will be announced on Jan. 10, 2013. Three to five will be nominated for the Documentary Short Subject, according to AMPAS.
The final winner will be unveiled at the 85th Academy Awards ceremony, to be held on Feb. 24, 2013 in the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center.
