Currently there are two Bollywood films being shot in Fiji.

Not only do Bollywood film-makers want Fiji as a location for their movies, but there is now a growing demand for more locals to be a part of their cast. With two movies from India currently shooting in Fiji after completion of another one, yet another fourth, ambitious project is to be launched this month.
Bollywood Director Dhiraj Singh and his scouting team have started seeking for locations and initiate local casting for the upcoming movie "Black Sheep".
Earlier, Associate Director Amit Raj spoke to Fijian media, shedding more light on the upcoming project and the importance of having locals cast in significant roles in the movie which will provide acting employment to around 15 to 20 locals.
"We want to cast locally as much as possible because this film will be portrayed as Fiji and the story line and the characters in the plot requires this of the movie," he said.
The inclusion of local flavor will add to the authenticity of the movie and will provide a very interesting dimension, something that viewers will react to.
Bollywood actor, Manish Chaudhary, who recently featured in smash hits "Jannat 2" and "Blood Money" as the main antagonist, will be playing the part of a Fijian police officer, Daniel, which is one of the central characters in the movie.
Raj also mentioned the part of a forest ranger, which is another central role, for which they are looking for a Fijian male to play the part.
Other integral characters that will use local cast are police officers, motel manager and his wife, drivers, tourists, shopkeepers and the role of a 'Beautiful Fijian aunty with a flower in her ear.'
Raj also emphasized the importance of wanting to integrate local culture, dances and music, adding the crew has also begun looking at various possible locations such as forests and islands, which "will not be a typical romantic Bollywood movie, but more a fast-paced, edge of your seat, mystery thriller."
The tentatively titled "Black Sheep" is a medium budget movie which stars big names from Bollywood including, Manish Chadhary, Zayed Khan of "Main Hoon Na", Tulip Joshi who starred in the award-winning "Matrubhoomi", popular actor/director Parvin Dabas, Adhyaman Suman who acted lead in "Raaz 2", popular TV actress, Karishma Tanha and debutante Sandeepa.
The six main actors play three couples unknown to each other who cross each other's paths while trekking on holiday in Fiji.
